KS233/SK Sjælland Petroglyph Tie Clip
Nordic Bronze Age (1500-800 BC). Rock engraving, during the Danish bronze age numerous pictures and signs
were cut into stones, boulders and ice-polished rocks.
The logo for Denmark's Presidency if the EC in 1987 is based on a rock
engraving of a ship found on a stone near Gilleleje in Northern Sjælland.
This petroglyph dates back to approx. 1000 BC. Comes
with brochure detailing the age and the place of origin of the original.
Length: 45 mm.

KS483TT Guldgubber Tie Tack
Viking age (800-1050 AD). "Guldgubber" are sheet-gold plaques
with male and female figures. A few are found in Jylland, Fyn and Sjælland,
numerous are found on Bornholm.
This guldgubbe is believed to be the Nordic god Frey embracing a woman.
Guldgubber were perhaps good-luck charms to ensure fertility and a
successful union.
