KS474 Icelandic Thor's Hammer Pendant
Museum reproduction, Viking Age 1000AD. Miniature Thor's hammers were widely used as religious amulets during the Viking era. This particular Thor's Hammer pendant was found in Foss in Iceland and illustrates the transition from Norse paganism to Christianity. The original is displayed at the National Museum, Reykjavik, Iceland. Click here to see the original.
